The Holy See has published A Journey of Hope: Sixty Years of Interreligious Dialogue and Fraternity in the Light of the Conciliar Declaration Nostra aetate, reflecting on the Church’s relationships with people of other religious traditions.
Prepared jointly by the Dicasteries for Interreligious Dialogue, the Doctrine of the Faith and Promoting Christian Unity, the note explores the legacy of the Second Vatican Council’s landmark declaration on the Church’s relationship with non-Christian religions.
The document highlights progress in mutual understanding and cooperation, examines ongoing challenges and offers directions for the future. It emphasizes the importance of remaining rooted in our Catholic faith while engaging others with openness, respect and a shared commitment to peace.
